Summary

The place your mods keep their settings. Press ESC and choose Mod Settings, and every AshForge mod you have installed gets its own page — turn raids down, make caravans visit more often, switch off a feature you don't like. It also carries a small tools panel that mods can use to offer a fix-it action when something has gone wrong in your colony.

Details

• ESC ▸ Mod Settings — a settings page for every installed AshForge mod that offers one, built in the game's own style. Pick a mod on the left, turn its knobs on the right, confirm. • Your settings are saved on your machine, not inside your save file — so they follow you from colony to colony, and removing a mod can never break a save. • A tools panel (press ` or F8) where mods can offer a fix-it action — for example, Wealth & Trade uses it to send stuck trade caravans home. • Mods decide what you see. Developer tooling stays hidden unless you are running a development build. Install this to get the settings screens for Wealth & Trade, Raiders of the Wastes and Squad Select. Requires the AshForge Mod Loader — enable it from the AshForge Hub.
Changelog
v1.0.3July 24, 2026
  • FixedThe tools panel and the Mod Settings screen now follow the UI text size from Optics. This mattered most here, since Mod Settings is where that slider lives: turning the text up grew the labels while the panel around them stayed put, and the list of mod names down the side would clip. The panel, the mod list and the settings pane now grow together, capped so the list can never squeeze out the settings beside it.
v1.0.2July 12, 2026
  • FixedSliders in Mod Settings only moved in whole numbers, so a setting meant to be fine-tuned couldn't be. Raiders' difficulty slider, which runs from 0.5 to 2.0, had a grand total of three positions on it. Sliders now move in tenths where that makes sense.
v1.0.1July 12, 2026
  • FixedWould not load on an older AshForge Hub — including the current Linux one. It now loads anywhere, and tells you to update the Hub if your version is too old for the Mod Settings screen.
v1.0.0July 12, 2026
  • AddedFirst release. Adds Mod Settings to the pause menu, plus a tools panel your mods can hang fix-it actions from.
